Advanced Parasitology with Sian Mitchell BVMS, PhD, Dip EVPC, Dip ECSRHM, MRCVS and in conjunction with parasitologists from Moredun Research Institute

Sian is a de facto diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management, a diplomate of the European Veterinary Parasitology College and an RCVS recognised specialist in Veterinary Parasitology.

We will be able to confirm which parasitologists will be joining us from Moredun Research Institute soon.

For those booked onto the course Zoom meeting details will be sent out the week before.  This course builds upon knowledge gained from both out Basic Sheep Modular course and also a few years in practice.  It is aimed at Vets with a keen interest in sheep and wanting to develop more understanding of sheep parasites and their control.

Please submit any interesting parasitology cases before the course to discuss them with the experts during the day.

There are three modules in the Advanced Sheep Modular course.

1. Advanced parasitology
2. Iceberg diseases
3. Immunology

A course on sheep nutrition and trace elements follows in 2021.  We hope that these courses will take place in person at WVSC subject to Covid-19 restritctions.
